Using the research experience at the graduate school: qualifying to sit the examination for Professional Engineer.
The Professional Engineer qualification is an extremely important qualification for those working in the construction industry in Japan. In order to qualify to sit the second Professional Engineer examination, a certain amount of work experience is required, but it can be reduced by the amount of research experience one has acquired at a graduate school in Japan (maximum of 2 years).
